Lecco is the birthplace of our company, and has been home to its headquarters since it was established in 1984. It all started here, in this territory, on a distant date: the story of the identity of what Executive has become today, a national distributor and reference point for accessories and consumable products for the ICT digital market.
Executive's story can be traced through its platforms, developed over the years and put at the service of its customers. In the 90s PowerDesk was born – a cutting-edge solution at a time when e-commerce was in its infancy and the market lacked a key player. In the aftermath of the "dot-com bubble" burst, expectations for the "new economy" phenomenon prompted the company to search for unique and original distribution formulas to respond to unspoken requests for specialization and focus on specific product segments.
with the ever increasing presence of digital products in everyday life, demand for products such as digital consumer products and computer accessories increased substantially and emphasized the need for specialists who could provide the complementary services needed for the sale of these product types. The event called for an in-depth examination of a market approach philosophy that would enhance the channel's potential: category management techniques.
this resulted in the introduction of the PowerCategory platform.
as a consequence of multichannel distribution activities expanding into previously sealed off branches, the roles of various players in the industry have come to overlap in multiple areas of operations. Given this major development, Executive has, with its experience and competencies, come to offer additional services to help all core distribution and logistic functions remain up to date and competitive with current market demands.
Executive has thus incorporated tasks that are ordinarily delegated by the channel to third parties, such as merchandising, dressing, promoting, rack jobbing and, more recently, data providing, information and process integration, taking on the role of a value-added distributor. It was again management platforms which established this organizational and functional transition: PowerGD is the sharing tool for channel service activities.
the next challenge is linked to the collection and management of information to create analytics tools. A first step has already been taken with the development of PowerBrand, which creates reports for the industry, while the transfer of other platforms to a multi-device format meets the mobility needs of today's labor organization.
year to year, Executive has changed along with the needs of the market and consumers. Knowing how to anticipate trends and having well defined and certain answers is a constant challenge which we aim to solve.
